We were walking around Monaco last night as we're on our Valentine's vacations, and we decided to have some drinks and tapas in this super expensive place so we stepped in their front door asking for a table, the door lady told us that, the place was full, to have a seat in the lobby for a while and wait for someone to leave. After a few min, another couple was trying the same, but they were all dressed up, really "money talk" kind of, and after a little chat, the door lady decided to let them enjoy the Cafe, and of course, we left. So, if you are planning to visit this place, make sure you look expensive on your arrival. 😉

Some of the staff were lovely and the bar has a nice atmosphere but it has a mishmash of chairs with half being comfy and the other half are unbearably hard! We switched two unused comfy chairs with our hard chairs and two waiters came over and shouted at us for moving the unused chairs and not asking them if we could swap the unused chairs, they were so so rude. No one then used the spare chairs for hours after we switched them despite one waiter lying to us that the table was booked. We swapped rather than took the chairs so we couldnt understand the issue? Needless to say It’s not what you expect from a 5 star hotel when you’re paying €30 plus per cocktail.

Great spot to “get fancy” and have a cocktail. Live jazz was great! Prices were high, but expected for a five-star hotel and brushing shoulders with celebrities.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Food took over an hour and 1/2 to come out. Server was very rude, didn’t write down our order, then sent another server to ask again what we wanted. After an hour and 1/2 has passed they brought out the wrong food lol. Our original server never checked on us we didn’t see him again after he took our order and we were there for about 2 hours. Others who were sat at least 45 minutes after us got their food before us. We had to ask multiple servers for our entrees which they mistakenly brought out twice. Then they overcharged us when they brought us the bill. Worst experience I’ve had on my trip. Would NEVER recommend

Genuinely the worst dining experience I have ever had. Waited over an hour and a half for COLD food, proceeded to incorrectly charge us as well as being the wrong order. Had to order twice because our waiter forget what we wanted, then never saw the same person again and dealt with at least 5 staff members repeatedly making the same mistakes. A waste of time and energy, truly such a disappointing experience. Watched waiters bring food to people who had just sat down while we begged for our food after an hour of being sat. Had to gesture for every single thing given to us, including water. Not only did we not feel like a priority, but instead a burden and hassle. Horrible staff and service. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Would truly give 0 stars if I could. I find it very hard to leave poor reviews for restaurants because I feel that being able to eat at nice places is such a privilege that one should feel blessed to experience, but this restaurant was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The staff was rude off the bat, we had to wave someone down every time we wanted to speak about placing an order or asking where our food was (after an hour and 30 minutes of waiting). Once the food did come out it was cold. Finally, we were overcharged on our bill with items added that we did not even order. This was the biggest waste of not only money but also hours of time on our vacation which was taken away from activities we had planned for the day. I truly urge you please do NOT come here as it will be a huge inconvenience and frustrating meal.

The sophisticated lounge bar at the majestic Hotel de Paris is always lively with hotel guests and visitors, and a great place to spot celebrities and the supercars parked outside. The history, the plush atmosphere, the welcoming servers and the live music deserve a Martini at the bar at least. A necessary visit in Monte Carlo.

Amazing bar and atmosphere!!! From the moment we arrived we felt like we reverted back decades with the lounge, music 🎶 and overall fun and friendly atmosphere. The band rocked the place until 12:30 am and had the entire bar jumping and singing along to their popular set. The setting combined with the music made it a very memorable experience. 👍💪🙏🇲🇨.

Quite the experience, to walk out of the casino and over to the Bar Americain for a drink. It is a snobby place - they tried to get us to sit out in the hotel lobby, telling us there were no tables - although other guests came strolling in in groups and being immediately seated, obviously known by the front desk. We told them we'd wait for a table before ordering - a wise move, as i am sure they would have just kept us sipping our cocktails outside. Eventually, inside, it was great people watching, the jazz band very nice, and the exhorbinantly priced drinks quite good. All worth the experience. Once. I don't think I have to go back. I gave it five stars for service, in spite of the initial front desk treatment, due to our eventual waiter, a young man with a pencil line mustache, was really good, funny and kind enough to move us to a better table.

I was a guest at the hotel and came here for drinks and some food. I ordered the €44 sliders and they were absolutely terrible. Some of the worst food I’ve ever had. I also had a €37 glass of wine (which you can buy at Nicolas for €20 a bottle) which was generic at best. Considering the exceptional quality of everything else in the hotel I was extremely disappointed.

I know American food isn’t great but I was pretty shocked with this place. My daughter’s spaghetti tasted very similar to Heinz tinned spaghetti. My Caesar salad was made with reconstituted chicken out of a packet and I was sad at the lack of Parmesan cheese given or close proximity to Italy. They also charged us 38 euro for an extra burger that we didn’t order. It’s pretty outrageous to charge this much money for food that tastes this bad…even in Monaco!! Avoid at all cost

Love going there for a fancy night out, with live music and extravagant people. Nice way to blend in Monaco and experience a non touristic night. They accept dogs, and they were super kind. When the singer started singing in Spanish and saw that we were following the song, he put more emphasis into it and more clients started singing and dancing, whereas usually clients don’t interact a lot or there’s a few dancers. It also varies on the singer of the night and the type of music. Definitely worth the price of a cocktail!

The real luxury, as I always say, is the service. I am intolerant to gluten, this afternoon I went to Bar Americain and ordered a tea, I informed the waiter of my gluten intolerance, he waxed that they had gluten free biscuits or small pastries. The reply left me speechless 'we don't have anything', incredulous I told him to ask to the maître, he came back shortly after confirming that they didn't have anything, I have never before seen such an uninclusive experience in a this category hotel. Shameful.

Really nice bar. Great atmosphere and the band was fabulous! Nice relaxing drinks and met some nice people. The decor was swanky but i was expecting a bit more swanky with the clientele as it says on the website to dress to impress but it was a mixture. Great night though!

Absolutely shocking experience here. We booked a table in bar american for 4 with the day manager for 7pm. We met our friends who had flown in to be with is. We changed our restaurant plans to be in this establishment. When we arrived the manager said you cant have a table and was the most rude person I have ever met. Told us to go away basically leaving us very angry and no dinner reservation. We come all the time to monaco and spend lots of time and money in this place but will never set foot in here again. I urge everyone else to avoid. Shocking customer experience but guess this is why all new money is going to dubai!

Popped in without reservations after walking all over Monaco. Was expecting a stuffy atmosphere but Ryan (?) our waiter was very relaxed and chatted with us, had us laughing. Had some good cocktails and a nice time!

If you want to eat a few things next to your drink , this is definitely not the place to go.<br />À la carte we offer you burgers, risottos etc except that nowhere is it specified that it is tapas , even cuteness .<br />For example à la carte we talk about a burger , iconic Hôtel de Paris with cheddar , etc ... and here is the big disappointment arrive: three mini burger for about 40 € ..<br />This is not the problem of the price because it is advertised on the map but of the name that is ambiguous and therefore “scammer”.<br />Icing on the cake: the manager refuses to give us the receipt with the VAT, which is just a legal obligation ....<br />No comment ..

I love this place. Been there many times. Today decided to have lunch ordering pasta got something disgusting for the price of 40 euros . Everything from the serving of the dish to its quality was terrible.

I was not resident at the hotel as I was staying with friends near Larvotto. I explained that to the manager but he was very welcoming and gave me a very good seat near the bar. The band 'Supersonic' were excellent and there was a very nice ambience. I enjoyed a few glasses of Pommard and really enjoyed the experience. A most pleasant way to spend an evening in Monaco.
